Field Notes

Complex of barns of various ages and conditions, sawmill being predominant on the site. There is a Wendell Comrie Road on one side of this property, so named to honor this gentleman who helped restore the Up-Down Sawmill and then the family reconfigured the property and now the address to his own sawmill (he is now deceased) is on Pumpkin Hill Rd ! Photo of this gentleman is found in Ledyard and Gales Ferry Images of America book but taken at UP-Down Sawmill..
