Per owner's notes, property is listed on historic register. Area of barn roof and side wall collapsing. Surrounding area has tobacco barns - typology of this one is unclear. 2011 Barns Grant pre-application. The barn is very large and visible from the street. There is a lot of history on Main Street in South Windsor. Part of the street is on the National Register. There is an active Historical Society. There is still agriculture on the street with many farms growing corn, tobacco, pumpkins, and sod. This barn is a tobacco shed that was used in an active tobacco farm on the property and also to house horses and other animals. (Johanna Foley) Part of the Windsor Farms Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. Demolished during winter of 2010-2011.
