carriage house moved from Malabar Farm (1791) (barn from Malabar Farm was moved to Anthony Lane) Sign to the east identifies Malabar Farm. Malabar Farm site is adjacent to the east. In the 1930s on, Malabar Farm was the gentleman farm/country home of Malcom Goodwin and Barbara Ann Rohrback Goodwin. Barbara Ann was a graduate of UConn (then CT State Agricultural College. The Goodwins were real estate developers in the West Hartford and Clinton areas. At Malabar, they raised prize-winning sheep (Obituary of Barbara Ann Rohrbach Goodwin, Hartford Courant, Dec. 11, 1995).
