Field Notes

The two barns appear to have been separated from the original farmhouse adjacent at #301. The west barn has been reused as a house; the English barn to the north remains. Originally the Leverett Treat Farm; house built in 1807. Two barns subdivided from the house in 1979 when the hay barn was converted to residence. Judy Williams lives in the farmhouse, her mother Margaret Wright (Tom deceased in 2007) lives in the converted barn. The second barn was the livestock barn, then horses when Judy was growing up, then construction business storage. Farm has been in the same family for 300 years, Wright from Kent married Julia Treat Wright, Judy’s grandmother.
