Historic Significance

This barn was part of Stamford’s “Barn (Consciousness) Raising” exhibit sponsored by The Historic Neighborhood Preservation Program, Inc.; a project designed to assemble a photo exhibit celebrating Stamford’s barns, showing the beauty of barns on the landscape, and a way to tap into the towns agricultural past.  The exhibit was inspired by the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation’s project of recording and preserving barns throughout Connecticut, and made possible by a grant from the City of Stamford’s Community Arts Partnership Program.
